Offer to Dems: We'll trade McCain for Lieberman!

Lately, there has been speculation that Sen. Lieberman will become a Republican if the Democrats cut off war funding. In the spirit of fairness, MittRocks would like to propose a trade. We'll give you McCain for the good senator! After all, McCain has already proven to be an effective critic of the GOP. He has scored huge points with the media at the expense of the conservative movement. And Lieberman? He has scored points with conservatives because of his unfailing support of the troops and their mission.

McCain's latest criticism? Was it posed against a Democrat? Well, read for yourself.

Is Rummy running for anything? Donald has already been removed from his post, so what does McCain hope to accomplish by throwing darts at him? Who is McCain trying to score points with?

Does John McCain understand that an attack on the former secretary will only give the President a black-eye along with whole Republican party? Does he care?

What he is actually doing is shooting himself in the foot! That is...unless we make the trade!

Romney, on the other hand, has kept his criticism directed at the adversaries of the GOP. Here is his latest:
"Governor Mark Sanford is right. Unfortunately, some in the Republican Party are embracing the radical environmental ideas of the liberal left. As governor, I found that thoughtful environmentalism need not be anti-growth and anti-jobs. But Kyoto-style sweeping mandates, imposed unilaterally in the United States, would kill jobs, depress growth and shift manufacturing to the dirtiest developing nations.

"Republicans should never abandon pro-growth conservative principles in an effort to embrace the ideas of Al Gore. Instead of sweeping mandates, we must use America's power of innovation to develop alternative sources of energy and new technologies that use energy more efficiently."
While Romney takes on Clinton, Gore, and Obama...McCain takes on Rumsfeld and Cheney.

If the republicans want to take the White House in '08 and pick up house and senate seats, they will need a leader who unites conservatives. After all, a house divided cannot stand!
