It's official: Mitt is the establishment candidate

by David Alvord

For months now I have been hearing that the reason the GOP has no frontrunner is that there is no "establishment candidate". But today Dennis Hastert introduced Mitt Romney at a campaign event at the same time Rush Limbaugh has been singing Mitt's praises and pointing out that Huck isn't a conservative. Add to the list Judge Bork, Tom Tancredo, Lee Iacocca, Peggy Noonan, The National Review...and I could go on and on, but it should be clear now that Mitt is the establishment's pick.

Iowa's and New Hampshire's primaries will be a test to see if the "silent majority" still exists. If they do, expect to see a Romney win in both states. Depending on the size of that silent majority, we may see a win by a large margin for Romney in both states.
