Mitt has raised 6.5 million in his first day of fundraising! This represents the biggest haul of any candidate since the passage of campaign finance reform!

And just how does this compare to Rudy and McCain?

The figure dwarfed the money raised so far by two GOP stars leading the 2008 speculation, U.S. Sen. John McCain of Arizona and former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani.

Anyone familiar with modern presidential politics will tell you that he who raises the most money the earliest will get the national spotlight. All the more reason to be optimistic for Mitt's campaign!
